I've been buying at this store for almost 36 years. The staff is always helpful and knowledgeable. However, checkout experience has been deteriorating for quite a while now and last night really made me wonder why I continue to spend my hard-earned money there. No greeting by the clerk, after announcing the amount (which was the only sound she made during the transaction) my receipt was silently pushed across the counter. No thank you, no have a nice night, nothing. And yes, I did say hello when I walked up. I don't get that at Stewart's in Clinton, which, btw, is very close to my house. Smart business practice dictates greeting a customer and most importantly, saying THANK YOU. You need work Saybrook Hardware!!!

I've locked myself out of my car more times than I can count, and lost my spare key several months ago. I had to pay an arm and a leg for a locksmith to open the door the last time. I had two spare keys made in a retail store, neither of which worked even to open the lock on the door. I saw the machine for KeyMe in another retail store, and decided to try that since it came with a money back guarantee. It cost more than the duplicates I purchased at the other retail store, but FAR less that getting one made at the dealership. Plus the advertisement said it would also start my car. It was quick and easy to order, ( I will admit I apparently didn't read where it said you get the key through the mail). I received it on the 4th business day, and it works like a charm!!! Opens the lock, and starts my car with no issues!!! I will be purchasing at least a couple more, since I am so prone to locking myself out, and leave them at different locations. Thank you KeyMe!!!
